Are there any counseling fees or service charges? No. We do not charge the student at any time throughout the whole process however we do take a refundable deposit of TK. 5,000 at the time of application. This deposit is refunded fully at the time that the first installment is made to the university or college. Do I have to make any deposit before visa? Most institutions require a partial deposit of tuition fee before issuing the visa letter. Once the deposit is received in the form of bank draft or direct transfer by the institution, only then is a visa letter issued. Once the visa letter is issued a student can apply for visa. Deposit is only mandatory for institutions require it. If the institution does not require a deposit prior to issuing a visa letter then no deposit is required before visa. It may be noted however, that payment of deposit beforehand is beneficial to the student since it shows genuine commitment of the student to study in the institution. All deposit payments are deducted from your tuition fees upon arrival and enrollment to your UK institution. What does it cost to study in the UK? This depends on the institution, course, study level (undergraduate or postgraduate) and the city you intend to stay. Course fees will be discussed when you get in touch with our counselor, when you come to apply. You always can find up-to-date information on the university or the college’s website. What documents are required in applying for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in UK? What is normally included in application documents?

  • University Application Form (Available with MACES)
  • All previous Academic Certificates and Transcripts
  • Copy of Passport
  • IELTS results (if available)
  • Certain Masters and MBA programs generally require 2-3 years of work experience. In case where work experience is required the student needs to show evidence of work experience
  • Personal Statement or Statement of purpose stating why the student is interested to study the particular subject as well as the particular institution
  • Recommendation letter from Teacher or former employer

How long does it take to get feedback from the university after the application has been submitted? It depends on the Institution. Normally it takes 1-3 weeks but sometimes it can take longer time. In applying, what English tests are required? IELTS and TOEFL both acceptable What should we do if we want to stay in a university/student accommodation? It is usually available online after visa is received; however we are happy to help with any information in this regard. Where can I find information about scholarships?

  • First, you can contact one of our counselors who can give up-to-date information about available scholarships in our partner institutions.
  • Alternatively, you can check available scholarships on the University/College website

Can I pay my tuition fees by installments? Most of the institutions in UK accept payments by installments. Installment modes usually vary by institution. Few institutions offer discounts if the student pays the full tuition fee before enrollment. For more details, please contact with us. Are students allowed to work while studying in UK? International students are allowed to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week. During the summer and other school holidays students allowed to work full-time. Are there any Post study work possibilities? After completion of Undergraduate or Postgraduate course, student can apply 2 year full time work permit under the Post study work scheme. Exception is only for Scotland where students are eligible for post study work after completion of HND program from a college/university in Scotland e.g. Stevenson College Edinburgh. Why do I need to take IELTS? Moreover, what is the minimum requirement? Your IELTS score will show the university your level of English language speaking and comprehension. The minimum requirements vary depending upon the institution and the course. (For example, Coventry University requires for its Masters and MBA courses 6.5 score, for undergraduate course 6.0.) If I do not yet have the IELTS results or if the result does not meet the university’s requirement, can I still apply? IELTS is not required at the time of application; however it will be required eventually as one of the academic conditions before receiving the visa letter. If the IELTS result is below the required level, the students may be ask to attend additional processional English classes before the start of the course. The length of the processional English course depends on the  IELTS result of the student. Who can be approached for assistance when the student is already studying abroad? The International Office will be of great assistance to you while you are there. When does the academic year begin in UK? The regular intake begins at September. There are program what would start January. Please contact us for more information about the particular institution or course you interested. Are there any application deadlines? When is the best time to submit your application? There is no specific application deadline; however it is best to consult with your education counselor at MACES to decide on the optimal application date. Students are advised to plan 4-6 months before the academic year begins. The application process along with visa is usually time consuming, however students may apply as late as the month before course starts for some courses. Please contact with us for further information. What documents are required for visa application? Generally, you will need:

  • Passport
  • All academic certificates and transcript.
  • TB screening report
  • Visa Letter
  • Financial statement or Bank Statement.
  • Two photograph
  • Visa application forms

Is there any Visa Guarantee? No. Every application is carefully considered by the high commission before entry clearance/visa is provided. No one can guarantee a UK visa, however it may be mentioned that MACES has an excellent success rate with student visa. Is health check-up required for applying for a student visa to the UK? There is a requirement for Tuberculosis testing for student studying the UK for longer than 6 months. Will the institutions offer an airport pick up? Some universities offer airport pick-up service while some suggest ways to find means of transportation from the point of entry.
